RAISING THE BARRE: THE CAMPAIGN FOR PENNSYLVANIA BALLET
Facility Needs
Building a New State-of-the-Art Rehearsal and Administrative Facility
Campaign Goal: $2,250,000
As the Ballet has grown in recent years, it has also outgrown its home on South Broad Street. Offices and studios are overcrowded, studio flooring is in poor condition, wardrobe space is inadequate, and there is little room for such essential services as physical therapy. A larger and more accessible state-of-the-art facility will not simply relieve these conditions, but will transform the Ballet into an even more valuable cultural resource, with new rehearsal and performance space, a studio dedicated to Pennsylvania Ballet II, and a setting for subscriber and donor events.
*Building and other Campaign gifts of $2,500 to $25,000 from individual donors will be matched dollar for dollar by the Independence Foundation, up to a total of $500,000. A donor who makes a $25,000 gift to the building will receive a $25,000 match and a naming opportunity within the building at the $50,000 giving level.
