In 1992, she became a Principal Dancer for the English National Ballet. She performed all her roles alongside partner Jose Manuel Carreno and Carlos Acosta. She returned to the Cuban National Ballet and toured the globe while performing on many renowned stages. In 1997. Ana retired after dancing for 22 years and began teaching at the National Ballet of Cuba. Her career as a teacher has continued in the U.S. as she taught advanced classes at Dance Center in New Jersey, and also instructed Tony Award winner Kiril Kulish as he played the leading role in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical. Ana teaches at JZT Dance in Weehawken, New Jersey, as well as in the Pre-Professional Ballet division at Ballet Hispanico in New York City.
