Join the Pennsylvania Ballet and other ballet enthusiasts for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of ballet and Christopher’s Wheeldon’s Swan Lake at the Swan Lake Luncheon & Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, March 5. Enjoy a delicious lunch and lively discussion at Estia, followed by the Swan Lake dress rehearsal at the Academy of Music. This year’s luncheon will feature Dr. Laura Katz Rizzo, author of Dancing the Fairy Tale: Producing and Performing The Sleeping Beauty, an examination of the role played by women in the development of classical ballet in the United States from 1930-1990. It promises to be a great excuse for a long lunch break or trip into the city. Tickets are no longer available for this event.
