Dress Rehearsals

(Supporter level - $150 to $249 and above)
Dress rehearsals are fully-staged productions where dancers and artistic staff make their final adjustments before the show opens. Join us at the theater for an exclusive sneak-peek of the upcoming performance! 

  • A gift of $150 to $249 = two admissions (with option to bring a guest) 
  • A gift of $250 to $499 = four admissions (with option to bring a guest) 
  • A gift of $500 and above = six admissions (with option to bring a guest)

All Dress Rehearsals begin promptly at 1:00pm. Lobby doors will open at 12:30pm, and seating is on a first come, first served basis. Rehearsals typically last 3 hours, however you may leave the theater during any pause. The attendance of children under the age of 5 is discouraged.  

Please note that we also typically invite school children to Dress Rehearsals. These are Philadelphia-area students who participate in our outreach and education program, Community Engagement - for some of these students, this will be their first time experiencing ballet in a theater setting!

Technical Rehearsals

(Enthusiast level - $250 and above) 

Evening technical rehearsals provide a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing a performance from the studio to the stage. While the dancers rehearse, the lighting, sound and other technical processes involved in staging the production are tested. Before the rehearsal, join us for a wine and cheese reception in the theater lobby. 

  • A gift of $250 = two invitations (with option to bring a guest) 

Doors open at 6:30pm and donors are encouraged to enjoy refreshments until rehearsal begins at 7:00pm. The rehearsal typically lasts 3 hours, however, you may leave the theater during any pause. The attendance of children under the age of 5 is discouraged.

Pennsylvania Ballet Panel Discussion and Reception 

(Aficionado leve - $1,000 and above) 

This members-only lecture series offers scholarly discussions about dance with members of Pennsylvania Ballet's artistic staff and cultural leaders from the Philadelphia area. Curated discussion topics have included musical accompaniment and visual collaborations, while featuring speakers such as Former Principal Dancer Martha Chamberlain, Solo pianist Martha Koenman and notable dance scholars including Linda Caruso Haviland from Bryn Mawr College.

This ultimate behind-the-scenes experience offers a glimpse of a typical day with our dancers. Watch as the dancers rehearse for upcoming performances and receive coaching from members of the artistic staff.

Fall Gala

Join Pennsylvania Ballet for a specatcular black-tie event celebrating the start of our 53rd Season. This year's gala theme, Princess and Pirates, is inspired by the two full-length ballets scheduled for the upcoming season - the most enduring fairytale of all-time, Ben Stevenson's Cinderella and Artistic Director Angel Corella's take on the highly popular pirate themed Le Corsaire. Ignite your passion for dance with Preludes- Pennsylvania Ballet's pre-show discussions. Held in the theater prior to most performances, Preludes is an intimate Q&A with Pennsylvania Ballet dancers, artistic staff, and visiting choreographers to discuss the upcoming performance. Preludes begin one hour prior to show time and are free and open to all ticketholders for the performance that follows.

Ormandy Room Refreshments

(Bronze Level - $2,500 and above)

Join our intimate circle of donors, The Leadership Barre Society, in the Ballroom for Prosecco and refreshments while mingling with Pennsylvania Ballet dancers. Intermission receptions are held at all performance intermissions at the Academy of Music (excluding performances of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker®)
