Amir Yogev was born and raised in Kibbutz Tzuba, Israel, where he began his dance training. In 2003, at age 16, he moved to the New York City to study at The School of American Ballet. He supplemented his training with summer programs on scholarship at Joffrey Ballet School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet School.

While at SAB, Mr. Yogev performed in several ballets including Square Dance, Bourrée Fantasaque, Scenes de Ballet, Western Symphony, Union Jack, and The Nutcracker.

In 2006, Mr. Yogev joined Miami City Ballet as a member of the Corps de Ballet. He performed in several works by George Balanchine including Square Dance, La Valse, Jewels, Bourrée Fantasque, Swan Lake, Symphony in C, and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™.  Mr. Yogev also performed in Paul Taylor’s Mercuric Tidings and originated a role in Twyla Tharp’s NIGHTSPOT, which was commissioned for Miami City Ballet.

Mr. Yogev joined Pennsylvania Ballet as an Apprentice for the 2009-2010 Season and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet for the 2010-2011 Season. His featured roles with the Company have included Christopher Wheeldon’s Polyphonia and Swan Lake (Pas de Trois), George Balanchine’s Agon, and William Forsythe’s The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude.
