Booking Guidelines

Pennsylvania Ballet offers a touring component based upon desired repertoire, availability and facility specifications. The Company performs evenings of full-length, story ballets to live orchestra as well as modern and traditional smaller repertoire programs to tape. Pennsylvania Ballet performs Balanchine-based repertoire and is committed to the vitality of the art form by presenting new work from leading contemporary choreographers.

The Company is available for booking based upon the demands of the performance calendar of the home season. The touring repertoire available is dictated by the programs being performed in that current season at the Academy of Music and Merriam Theater in Philadelphia. The touring season is generally completed in early spring, mid-March to early April. Special needs and interests are welcome for consideration.

Pennsylvania Ballet is a PennPAT (Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour) promoted artist. Should you choose, we are available to assist you with your application for funding. Please visit their web site at www.pennpat.org for more information.

Educational Programs

Pennsylvania Ballet's Outreach and Education program, Accent on Dance, is available to our presenters, and presenters' affiliate schools and young audience groups. This program provides meaningful, educational experiences that contribute to the cultural development of audiences. One of the features of this program is Pennsylvania Ballet's second company, Pennsylvania Ballet II. The second company is comprised of eight young dancers who demonstrate ballet steps and encourage audience participation. Student workbooks and materials are provided as supplemental materials to the educational commentary. Please visit the Outreach & Education section of this website to find out more.

Artist Talks with Artistic Director Roy Kaiser and selected company dancers for an invited audience can be scheduled based on availability. This informative session provides an informal, intimate setting where audience members can engage in question and answer format while gaining special insight to the creative process and inner workings of the production.

Master Classes taught by Artistic Director Roy Kaiser or Ballet Master Jeffrey Gribler can be scheduled based on availability. Classes are designed for associated schools offering high levels of ballet classes. Master classes are an opportunity to hone professional technique under the best teachers in the country.
