Amy Holihan

Corps de Ballet

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Amy Holihan began her dance education at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios under the direction of Barbara Pontecorvo. In 2004, she joined the school’s studio company, Gem City Ballet, performing in ballets such as Serenade, Who Cares?, Concerto Borocco, Valse Fantasie, Giselle, and Coppélia. Ms. Holihan attended summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, The School of American Ballet, and Miami City Ballet.  From 2007-2010 Ms. Holihan attended The School of American Ballet year-round on full scholarship. While at SAB she performed with New York City Ballet in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ as well as dancing in SAB’s workshop performances of Christopher Wheeldon’s Scenes de Ballet and George Balanchine’s Bourrée Fantasque
In 2010, she joined Pennsylvania Ballet II and was promoted to Apprentice for the 2012-2013 Season and to the Corps de Ballet for the 2013-2014 Season. She has performed several works with the Company including Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake (Czardas), William Forsythe’s Artifact Suite, Larry Keigwin's Canvas, Jerome Robbins' Fancy Free, and Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, Serenade, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, and The Prodigal Son (The Siren).
