Amy Holihan

Apprentice

Originally from Dayton, OH, Amy Holihan began her dance education at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios under the direction of Barbara Pontecorvo.  She joined the school’s studio company, Gem City Ballet, in 2004 performing in ballets such as Serenade, Who Cares?, Concerto Borocco, ValseFantasie, Giselle, and Coppelia.  Ms. Holihan attended summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, School of American Ballet, and Miami City Ballet.  From 2007-2010 Ms. Holihan attended the School of American Ballet year-round on full scholarship.  While at the school she performed with New York City Ballet in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, as well as dancing in SAB’s workshop performances ofScenes de Ballet by Christopher Wheeldon and BourreeFantasque by George Balanchine.  In 2010, she joined Pennsylvania Ballet II and has been promoted to apprentice for the 2012-2013 season.
