Originally from Mifflinburg, PA, Allison Pierce began her ballet training at age seven at Enterline’s Dance Center under Alicia Little. She then continued her ballet studies at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet from 2005-2008 and also studied privately under Erin Stiefel Inch and Laszlo Berdo. Ms. Pierce supplemented her training with summer courses at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet.
In 2008, Ms. Pierce was accepted into the Houston Ballet Academy where she trained for two years. In January of 2009, Ms. Pierce became a member of Houston Ballet II and performed with the Houston Ballet in Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker and Stanton Welch’s La Bayadère. In 2010, she attended Indiana University as a ballet major where she performed a featured role in George Balanchine’s Who Cares?.
Ms. Pierce joined Pennsylvania Ballet II for the 2011-2012 Season and has been promoted to Apprentice for the 2013-2014 Season. She has performed in several works including George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Ballo della Regina; Giselle; Twyla Tharp’s Push Comes to Shove; and Christopher Wheeldon’s Carnival of the Animals.
