The Sleeping Beauty | October 12-22, 2017 | Academy of Music
Enjoy this glorious world of enchantment, magic, tragedy and true love – where everyone really does live happily ever after. Tchaikovsky’s haunting and familiar score will enhance your enjoyment of this classical ballet for all ages.

On Edge | November 9-12, 2017 | Merriam Theater
A program of three ballets as vibrant and crisp as autumn itself. On Edge will do just that—push choreography to its limits in new and exciting ways. This program will include a world premiere by esteemed choreographer Helen Pickett as well as a new work from our very own Matthew Neenan. Capping off On Edge is Episode 31, an exhilarating piece by Alexander Ekman that is as fearless as it is memorable.

George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® | December 9-31, 2017
Journey to the Land of the Sweets for Philadelphia’s most beloved holiday tradition. Giant mice, dancing snowflakes, a growing Christmas tree and an enchanted nutcracker are sure to delight children of all ages.

Swan Lake | March 8-18, 2018 | Academy of Music
This season we premiere a traditional Swan Lake, complete with the evil Von Rothbart presiding over his flock of maiden swans in a dark glen by the lake. Perhaps love does not conquer all

Grace & Grandeur | April 5-8, 2018 | Merriam Theater
Grace & Grandeur, evokes a sense of gilded glamor. George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations provides an unparalleled experience, complete with glittering costumes and challenging, beautiful choreography. Christopher Wheeldon’s For Four returns to the Philadelphia stage, an exciting piece that highlights the strength of Pennsylvania Ballet’s male dancers. Paquita, a romantic production with Spanish flair, rounds out this springtime program.

Jewels | May 10-13, 2018 | Academy of Music
Returning to the stage is George Balanchine’s only evening-length work without a story. Inspired by a visit to famed jewelers Van Cleef and Arpels, the three ballets celebrate the elegance of emeralds, the allure of rubies, and the pure brilliance of the diamonds.
